Events & Activities

DUE TO COVID-19 IDAHO STATE AND CDC GUIDELINES, THE 4TH OF JULY FESTIVITIES WILL NOT BE HELD THIS YEAR (2020)

Rockland has several community events and celebrations during the year.

Memorial Day includes a potluck luncheon sponsored by the Congregational Church.  The Church is located on the corner of S. Pine and E. Nez Perce.  Pastor is Steve Wegner at 208-548-2349

June brings the annual community melodrama and dinner, to raise funds for the school foundation.  Always great food and a wonderful production.  A great place to showcase local talent.

4th of July festivities include a fun run, flag raising, breakfast in the park, games, lunch, a Patriotic Program, fun things for the kids, and a potluck dinner.  Most activities are at the main park (E. Center and Pine Streets), or across the street at the school.

October brings the Community Harvest Dinner, usually sponsored by the LDS Church.  A bit of a potluck and always a lot of good food.  Excellent opportunity to meet new friends or rekindle old friendships.

December brings the Christmas celebration.  Different every year – it may be singing carols in the park with a bonfire and cookies with hot chocolate, or an indoor talent show.  You just never know what, but it will always be fun.
